There is so much I love about this post Mark!! I love your chocolate dip on those biscuits, your creativity with the Fruit Bannock French toast. And you got to photograph those awesome fancy forks!!
Also, I adore your organisation with your two notion databases. I need to get on that!!!
Brilliant post Mark, I’m so proud of you and thrilled for this Cook the Books project. I’ll check out your Noten recipe list later, it will be a good resource as you go through this process.
Those oat biscuits look so good, and the little wave you created with the chocolate is very impressive.
I love your enthusiasm and commitment to this, especially with a kitchen Reno on the horizon. I’d be getting a few bakes up my sleeve if I were you.
Your writing in your warm and humble voice is a delight Mark, and your photos tell a delicious story too.
Too much here that I want to eat! And that database is such a great idea
Thank you, Mr Diacono - I’ll for sure be sharing some of what I’m making. Can’t work my way through all the cookbooks alone!
the hidden chocolate reference!!!!
😉 🍫
love Jonny Murphy!
He’s a cracker, isn’t he 😊
Well yummers! Are flakemeal biscuits similar to HobNobs? I loved eating those when I lived in London a million years ago.
Very much a HobNob, Betty! And as they’re homemade, I didn’t add the calories in 🤷♂️ So much healthier! 🤣
😂
Wonderful! Read twice now. haha
I love all of these recipes Mark!! They look so delicious.
Thank you, lovely one 😊 Irish baking is so wholesome!
Love this Mark! And the database too.
Thanks Melissa!! Happy to help if you ever want to build one 😊

Thanks so much lovely one! Will most definitely be trying to ‘french toast’ anything bread based I make moving forward 🤣
You know me - any excuse to use Notion! I’m here if you need help! 😊

Ahh thanks so much Lisa 🥹 that’s so lovely to hear! I had a blast making writing this one - and I’m glad everything came out looking half decent!
The reno is going to be interesting… and you literally can’t make this up, but the oven has just gone bang 🙃
As always, appreciate your support Lisa x
Oh dear, so the oven has started the Reno, what a self starter. Good luck with it Mark.
They all look like perfectly executed attempts. Beautiful photos, too.
Read again. 😂. That bread with the butter!!! I’m starving now! 🤩. This is a terrific concept. I should be so diligent as you. 😆. Keep cook in’!! 😎
