Pictures get better week on week. As does your baking, it would seem!

I was just about to say exactly this and then realised I only had to agree instead!

The pie looked delicious. I personally love a good chunk of cheddar cheese with apple pie. Any combo of apple and other fruit. Yummy!

I made savory scones this weekend and completely forgot the egg. They turned out so good! I wonder why the recipe even called for it.

Thank you! Ooo I’ve never heard of it with cheese before - but I can see how it works. Haha it is slightly confusing when you realise you’ve forgotten something and it still works out!

The pics are really good. The baking gods seem to be with you — baking is usually an unforgiving sport. The pie looks very tasty.

Thank you, Renee! They must certainly be there guiding my hand - as I still feel like I don’t really know what I’m doing 😅

Either you’re faking it really well. Or you might actually know what you’re doing —both photographically and food wise 😉

These look great! I was today years old when I first heard of parkin, but it def sounds good! Love your photography, I wish I had more patience for it!

Thank you lovely one! I’m glad I’m not the only one who parkin has passed by.

And thank you - once you get into a flow and find some ‘go to’ shots it’s easy to play with variations from there :)

That is a damn fine looking pie 🥧 V jealous. I will admit thatI also forget to add the cubed butter, but it always tastes 👍 You may want to ask friends and family for some props - otherwise you may find that you accumulate a lot (unless, of course, that is your plan!)

Thank you Lisa 🤗

I’d say that’s a great idea, but the collector in my wants to get ALL the things and have a cupboard full of things to play with 😅😂

That autumn pie looks wonderful and I've added it to my TBB (To Be Baked) list!

Looks delicious and it is custard every time for me!

And rather than rubbing in, a quick whizz in the food processor is just as good and doesn't warm the fat.

Ooo I didn’t know you can do that!! 😲 That’s a great tip - thank you!

It's cream all the way for me. I'm not an ice-cream girl when it comes to pairing dairy with your pie. And the skin! I've done the same thing too! Doesn't quite feel the same to eat it, but at least it doesn't ruin the flavour!

Your baking looks so damn good, I just wish Substack could provide a way to test taste 😂🤤
